Carole Denise Sinclair
biography
Sinclair closed up her shop, Farmyard Darlings, that she built from the ground up since 2010, and began focusing on individual home decor & design projects for high-end clients in the Bay Area. As co-founder of Farmyard Darlings, a modern farmstyle home decor destination spot based in East Bay, CA, her responsibilities included; working closely with customers with home projects, launching and updating the website, financials, writing, blog posts, social media, branding, community and public relations outreach.
Fast forward to 2022, she has been working as a home design consultant working with clients with recent home purchases. She works with large retailers, local woodworkers, collectors and furniture vendors.
Prior to being a "Darling", Sinclair had over 20 years experience as a PR Consultant in consumer technology, (BegBorroworSteal.com) venture capital firms (Woodside Fund, Khosla Ventures) and high-tech public relations (Oracle, Sybase, Broadvision) and in-house Corporate Communications (Intraware). (Further detail in resume.)
Prior to her PR gigs, Sinclair was active in the San Francisco non-profit arts community at Center for the Arts at Yerba Buena Gardens in their public relations and community outreach department. She started her career in advertising working as a creative assistant (basically an overglorified barista with mad xeroxing skills) on accounts such as Avia Footwear, GAP and Neutrogena.
Sinclair brings more than just home design, branding, marketing, social media expertise, and public relations experience to the table; she’s a high energy, goal-oriented person who has a creative spirit and adds a wealth of ideas to any team. She gets most of her energy from eating healthy, consistent yoga practice, flea market shopping, and equine therapy. For fun she rides her horses too fast, jogs a bit too slow and is known to binge on TED LASSO.
